Mayor Dr. Carsten Sieling was born January 13, 1959 in Nienburg/Weser, Germany. He is married and has three children.

Schooling and Academic Background

  • up to 1975: primary and secondary schools
  • 1975 to 1978: commercial apprenticeship at Telefunken GmbH, Hanover
  • 1979 to 1982: M.A. in Economics (German "Diplom") from "Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Politik, Hamburg" (Hamburg College of Economics and Politics)
